Road Kill

This just shows that not everyone give a damn. They like to visit wilderness areas but in reality they think only of themselves and their precious urban lives. This Red Necked Francolin was killed by a speeding motorist on his/her way out of Gorongosa National Park on a park road that has a clearly signposted 40km/h speed limit. The trail of feathers from the point of impact was about 15 meters indicating high speed. These birds are also very alert and get out of the way of vehicle in good time. This poor bird never had the chance. Unfortunately the identity of the culprit is not known.
